Event Description
"The Greenhorns" documentary film, explores the lives of America's young farming community - its spirit, practices, and needs. It is the filmmaker's hope that by broadcasting the stories and voices of these young farmers, we can build the case for those considering a career in agriculture - to embolden them, to entice them, and to recruit them into farming.
Followed by a panel discussion on "Young People in Farming."
$5 at the door or to purchase a ticket for all four films for $15, please click here. No one turned away for lack of funds. This event benefits Transition Sarasota.
Other films in this series are "Ingredients" on Monday, April 18, "Vanishing of the Bees" on Tuesday, April 19, and "The Real Dirt on Farmer John" on Thursday, April 21.
